In the mood for something absolutely delicious but want to eat in the comfort of your own home? Then you’re in luck because we’ve made a list of the five best takeout options in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
1. Santino’s
Location: 352 E Stewart St, Milwaukee, WI, 53207, United States
Our favorite dish: The Bocce Ball
Give them a call: 414-897-7367
Santino’s is appropriately located in the “Little Italy” district and offers some of the most authentic Italian food you can find in all of Milwaukee. They pride themselves on only using fresh and locally sourced ingredients – the best cheeses, meats, and flour available in the area. Santino’s can be perfect for an “at-home” date night too. We suggest ordering an antipasti item, a pasta dish, and a pizza to share. Pair it all with your favorite bottle of wine, and you have a fantastic night in with your loved one.

2. Kopp’s Frozen Custard
Location: 5373 N Port Washington Rd, Glendale, WI 53217, United States
Our favorite dish: Fudge Delight Specialty Sundae
Give them a call: 414-961-3288
To people who don’t know about Kopp’s, the concept of a frozen custard and burger restaurant might sound strange. But the 4,500+ positive Google reviews say everything- Kopp’s is a local favorite that can’t be beaten. In fact, the casual restaurant has seen such success that it’s branched out to three locations across Milwaukee. The restaurant was originally founded in 1950. Within 10 years, the eatery had become a Milwaukee staple, allowing owner Elsa Kopp to feel comfortable enough to try out exotic custard flavors.
Kopp’s offers custard classics and flavors of the day, as well as “jumbo” burgers. And when it comes to takeout, we recommend you get both. Get a classic hamburger and a custard for dessert. This combination is bound to put a smile on your face!

3. Hue Vietnamese Restaurant
Location: 2691 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., Bay View, Milwaukee, WI 53207, United States
Our favorite dish: Beef and Meatball Pho
Give them a call: 414-294-0483
Milwaukee is no stranger to rain or colder days. And when those days happen, there’s nothing better than bringing home a delicious bowl of pho. Hue Vietnamese states that their mission is to introduce Milwaukee to the “herbs, spices and fragrant aromas of Vietnamese culture through traditional dishes.” Clearly, the city loves the cuisine because Hue Vietnamese has been able to open two locations and a food truck!
Along with ordering a bowl of pho (upgrade to the large size, you won’t regret it), you should also try their signature Vietnamese Fish Fry.

4. The Diplomat
Location: 815 E Brady St, Milwaukee, WI 53202, United States
Our favorite dish: Salt Cod Hashbrown.
Give them a call: 414-800-5816
If you’re looking for a meal of delicious carbs, then The Diplomat is your answer. This casual restaurant has a menu full of all the heavenly dishes you always want for dinner but have no time or interest in attempting to cook yourself. Take your pick of savory pot pies, comforting soups, sandwiches, or burgers. The Diplomat delivers excellent meals at affordable prices. But, don’t let the down-to-earth atmosphere fool you – this restaurant has gotten plenty of press for its impressive menu.
Chef and owner Dane Baldwin has a love for cooking fish, so make sure you try one seafood dish off the menu. Right now, we’re loving the Salt Cod Hashbrown.

5. Triciclo Peru
Location:3801 W Vliet St, Milwaukee, WI 53208, United States
Our favorite dish: Aji De Gallina Empanada
Give them a call: 414-239-8388
Owners Amy Narr and Mario Diaz started Triciclo Peru because they wanted to bring Peruvian food to Milwaukee. You’ll find the best empanadas in all of Wisconsin at this little establishment. And the best part is you can buy packs of frozen empanadas to take home with you so you can have them again and again!
The menu has a lot more than just empanadas, offering authentic Peruvian appetizers, sandwiches, and entrees. If you’re gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian, the menu conveniently marks items that will adhere to your diet.
If it’s your first time at Triciclo, we’ve got you covered. Order at least two different empanadas, the Yucas Fritas, and one sandwich and you’ll have yourself a perfect takeout feast!

Now, the only question that remains is which of these five restaurants do you order from first?
