EAT

Vancouver is a culinary giant, with almost an endless amount of options. Indian, Japanese, Szechuan, Italian – whatever your taste buds are looking for, Vancouver has it.

If you’re in town for a few days, you need to check out these spots:

1. Vij’s

Vij’s is one of the most celebrated Indian restaurants in the city and for good reason. They’re serving delicious, inventive dishes that will leave you in awe. If you love Indian food, this needs to be at the top of your list.

2. The Eatery

This is sushi with a twist. The Eatery is a unique spin on sushi, adding non-traditional flavors like peanut butter and mango to their rolls. It’s one of the most interesting environments in the city – with tons of sights to please the eye while you wait for your food.

3. Meat & Bread

Meat & Bread is the lunch spot to end all lunch spots. They have one of the simplest menus in the city, but don’t let that fool you. Their porchetta sandwich is divine. Salsa verde, fried pork skin, and porchetta on a roll is all it will take to sell you. Do not miss a stop to Meat & Bread when you’re in town.

DRINK

Vancouver has a thriving nightlife scene, so you’ll want to put your dancing shoes on when you visit. Grab a drink at one of these famous spots.

1. Pourhouse

This is for the all of the whiskey lovers out there. Pourhouse is serving up creative cocktails, along with a huge selection of whiskey.

2. The Roxy

The most famous nightclub in Vancouver, the Roxy has been bringing people together for decades. There’s almost always live music, and the line moves quickly. If you’re looking for a fun night out, look no further than the Roxy.

3. Local

Located in the heart of Gastown, Local is the perfect place to grab an after dinner drink. In the summertime, you can relax on the patio and do some people watching, or hang out in the lounge on a cold winter’s night.

SEE & DO

Vancouver has a lot of sights and sounds, but a few are not to be missed. The city changes with the seasons, so be sure to note the month you’re traveling. You won’t want to take a hike in January.

1. Hike the Cheif

The Stawamus Chief sits in Squamish, BC, about an hour and a half from the city. Rent a car in the summer and drive to Squamish for an unforgettable experience. The Chief is one of the largest granite faces in the world, and the challenging hike offers an extremely rewarding view. Difficulty level: intermediate.

2. Capilano Suspension Bridge

Located in North Vancouver, the Capilano Suspension Bridge is one of the most picturesque spots in the city. Bring your camera, and don’t look down!

3. Bike the Sea Wall

One of the best ways to see Vancouver from April to September is by bicycle. We highly recommend doing this on your first day in Vancouver, it’s a great introduction to the city. For about $20, you can bike around Stanley Park, under the Lion’s Gate Bridge, and past First Beach.

We hope your trip to Vancouver is amazing! What are your favorite things to eat, drink, and see in Vancouver?
