We’re not going to lie, without much traveling to do or trips to plan, we’ve been drinking more than usual. Maybe you have, too. The beer has us reminiscing, thinking about some of our favorite bars around the world. Our team of writers each submitted a favorite spot – so in no particular order, here’s a look at the greatest bars in the world, according to Travel Magazine.

Szimpla Kert – Budapest, Hungary

Ruin bars of some of the coolest types of bars in the world, and Szimpla Kert is the best of them all. It’s home to many rooms and individual bars with so much to look at you’ll be amazed for hours.

Maggie Choo’s – Bangkok, Thailand

Live bands, terrific food, and premium cocktails, Maggie Choo’s is an underground venue that is the latest creation of the increasingly popular designer Ashley Sutton who is the brain behind the incredible ‘Bookshop’ and ‘Iron Fairies’ bars.

Hemingway Bar – Prague, Czech Republic

If you love cocktails, this is the bar for you. You’ll need a reservation, but it’s well worth it. Hemingway Bar carries Ernest’s favorite liquors such as Absinthe and different kinds of rum, as well as champagne, and mixes those liquors into hundreds of delicious drinks.

Multnomah Whiskey Library – Portland, USA

One of the best whiskey bars in the world. With over 800 bottles to choose from and tableside service for cocktails, this is a scotch/bourbon/rye drinker’s heaven on earth.

The Cavern Club – Liverpool, England

We’re talking about the birthplace of the Beatles here – how are you not going to love this spot? The Cavern is lined with brick walls and ’60s memorabilia, with tribute acts day and night.

Please Don’t Tell – New York City, USA

We’re not allowed to talk about this one, as the name implies – but it’s one of the more well known speakeasy’s in NYC. Do a little searching online if you want to learn more…we’re going to respect the rules.

Good Times at Davey Wayne’s, Los Angeles, USA

Same goes for Davey Waynes – this is a speakeasy that takes you back to the 70’s through a garage. Our lips are sealed beyond that.
