Ibiza Brunch

Beautiful scenery, rich history, and city nights that leave you wanting more. What’s not to love about España?

Let’s start with Barcelona – a colorful, culture-soaked city that attracts travelers from all over the world. Once, you’ve made your list of sights to see, we think you should leave some time to experience some of the luxuries that this beautiful city can offer.

1. Stay at The Mandarin Oriental in Barcelona

Consistently ranked as one of the best hotels in the city, there is no doubt your stay will leave you feeling refreshed and pampered. The best part? You’ll have free access to the spa just by being a guest at the hotel.

We know that after a decadent night’s sleep in one of their elegant deluxe garden rooms, you’ll wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day.

Maybe you’ll head to the rooftop and enjoy a moment of appreciation for the stunning view of the city you’ll find there. The plunge pool alone is worth checking out (you know we love a plunge pool). But, we beg you to please make time for Chef Carme Ruscalleda’s 2 star Michelin restaurant. The tasting menu alone is an experience you will remember long after your meal is finished.

2. Take a sunset- sail along the coast in Port Vell

An evening spent drinking champagne while sailing along the magical pink and orange-filled skies of Barcelona? Sounds pretty magical to us. Luckily, you’ll have no issue finding several captains ready to show you all that the coastline of Catalonia has to offer. If you’re up to the challenge, you can even charter a boat and experience the freedom that comes with being your own yacht captain for the night.

3. Cocktails with a view at La Dolce Vitae at the Majestic Hotel – Barcelona

Barcelona has no shortage of luxurious rooftop bars begging for your attention. Our personal favorite is La Dolce Vitae at the Majestic Hotel.

No matter the time of day, we’re positive you’ll find serenity in sipping on one of their beautiful cocktails while looking out over the city-scape and dreaming about what’s going on in the city lights below you.

4. Book a Hot Air Balloon Ride in Barcelona

There is truly no better way to experience the breathtaking landscape of Barcelona than by seeing it from 3,000 feet above.

Whether you choose to make this a solo excursion or are planning a romantic evening with your person, we know you’ll feel lighter by the time you touch down back to earth.

Now moving on to Madrid… The heart of Spain and a city that truly has it all.

5. Enjoy a Food and Wine Tour in Madrid

Picture This: walking along the streets of Madrid while sampling some of Spain’s most beloved and traditional tapas. From patatas bravas to tortilla Española, all while sipping on some of that famous Spanish wine.

The best part is experiencing all that Madrid has to offer without the stress of navigating the countless options on your own. One of our favorite tours is the Insider’s Madrid – The Botín Experience tour, which ends at the oldest restaurant in the world, the Botín, dating back to 1725.

6. Experience a Local Winery in Madrid

A short 30-minute drive away from the hustle-and-bustle of the city will lead you to Valquejigoso Vineyards. The perfect opportunity to rent that convertible you’ve always dreamed of, grab that hat you never have the photo-opp to wear it to, and head out on the road to this beautiful family-run vineyard. (Just be sure to hold onto your aforementioned hat.)

Here, you’ll quickly lose track of time under the Spanish sun. Drinking local wines and learning about the history behind these grapes. Sounds pretty dreamy if you ask us.

Now let’s head on over to the beach. With over 3,000 miles of coastline to explore and 60 islands, you’ll certainly have options.

Let’s start with a place that often makes headlines for its glitz and glam.

7. Visit Marbella

Well visited by Europe’s elite, this seaside city is best known for the mega-yachts that spend their summers there, beautiful streets to stroll, and endless world-famous shopping spots that will indulge all of your whims.

Also known as the “Beautiful Sea” in Spanish, Marbella offers 20 equally stunning beaches. Our suggestion would be to head on over to the land of the ultimate luxury at Nikki Beach. This glamorous beach club will quickly fulfill all over your boujee dreams, and if you’re lucky, you may even spot one of the many celebrities who frequent the city during the Summer months.

8. Visit Ibiza

We’ve all heard stories of the wild and crazy beach parties that take place in Ibiza; however, what people often don’t realize is that there’s much more serenity and beauty to experience in this cliffside, Mediterranean town.

You’ll quickly lose track of time exploring the scenic streets of Old town or checking out one of the many world-renowned restaurants that are sure to seduce you.

Looking for a luxurious restaurant recommendation guaranteed to please? We’re almost positive you’ll be blown away by the bohemian ambiance and breathtaking views at Los Enamorados, Ibiza.

9. Stay at the Hotel Castell Son Claret – Mallorca

Filled with azure-colored views and rich history, Mallorca will leave you breathless. The island itself features many dreamy hotels, one of which is the Hotel Castell Son Claret. Surrounded by fragrant gardens, you’ll instantly feel like you’re back in time.

We’d suggest checking in here, enjoying an afternoon relaxing by the pool (with a cocktail in hand, of course), and ending your day with a multi-course meal at their 2-star Michelin restaurant.

There’s no need to worry when you feel like venturing out because you won’t have to go far. A short 15-minute drive away and you’ll quickly be captivated by the charming little village of Capdella.

So where to next?

We know we’ve left you with some tough decisions to make. Luckily, we’re pretty confident that any one of these luxurious travel experiences will leave you with memories to remember long after your suitcase is unpacked.
