Paris New Years

After the wrapping paper has been cleaned up and you’ve had your fill of family “together time,” we think you should book a ticket to one of these amazing cities and ring in the new year the way you truly deserve.

1. Lisbon, Portugal

Because you can’t go to Lisbon and not check out one of their amazing restaurants, we’d suggest booking New Year’s Eve dinner at one of the local Fado spots and beginning your evening the right way by sipping on some Vinho Verde.

If you head to the Praça do Comércio, the city’s main square next to the river, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find live music and locals making the most of December 31st. Be prepared for a late-night, traditional Portuguese music, and fireworks.

2. Palm Springs, California

Widely known for Coachella and the famous people who frequent its pool parties, you might never have fully imagined the magic that Palm Springs is capable of. We can picture it now, palm trees, canyon views, and you ringing in the New Year under the desert sky.

Not to mention with perfect temperatures, plenty of trendy restaurants available for you to explore downtown, and multiple national parks nearby, you’ll be at no shortage of activities to fill up your last days of 2021.

3. New York City, New York

Where better to spend the last night of 2021 than in the city that never sleeps? Not only are the options for a fabulous dinner endless, but there isn’t anything that screams NYE more than having a front-row seat to what people are watching on their TVs all over the world. The iconic Time Square ball drop is something you’ll likely never forget.

4. London, England

Cheerio, Mate. London is never a bad idea, especially on New Year’s Eve. The city in all its English glory never fails to disappoint on this evening in particular.

We think you should get dressed in your evening best, find a fancy rooftop, and admire the city’s stunning fireworks display set off from the London Eye.

5. Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

We love a snowy Holiday season just like the rest of the world, but sometimes by the time New Year rolls around, we need some sun.

This is why you might want to consider heading to a place where Summer is rolling on through. Pack your bathing suit, grab a white linen outfit (it’s tradition to wear white on NYE here) and get ready for the world-famous Copacabana Beach Party. If you aren’t up for the crowds and Champagne showers, you can also make the most of the evening in a more laid-back way by catching the fireworks at one of the area’s beachside restaurants.

6. New Orleans, Louisianna

The best part about New Orleans is that you can always find a reason to celebrate, pretty much any day of the year, and lucky for us New Year’s Eve isn’t any exception.

The city is packed with outstanding restaurants, amazing bars, and new friends to meet.

We suggest grabbing a reservation at one of the city’s many amazing restaurants and then heading on to Jackson Square in the Quarter for the Fleur De Lis drop.

7. Paris, France

Paris, the epitome of Romance, and for a city that certainly knows how to celebrate, the options are endless. From watching the sun go down over the glittering Eiffel Tower, to enjoying an elegant 5-star meal with French Champagne. We know this is an evening you won’t soon forget.

The best part of the New Year in France? New Year’s or St. Sylvestre begins on January 1st and lasts alllll month long.

8. Vienna, Austria

New Year’s Eve, also known as Silvester in Austria, is undoubtedly one of the best days to explore this lovely city.

We’re having a hard time picturing a better way to end the year than by dining at one of the city’s elegant restaurants and strolling through the illuminated post-Christmas markets. We’d suggest checking out the Schloss Schönbrunn market. While you’re spending time wandering through the stalls and exploring all that the local shops have to offer, you’ll also be listening to a backdrop of jazz music. Hellooo, dreamy!

9. Park City, Utah

Pack up your parka and your boots and head to the ultimate White Christmas. Albeit a bit after Christmas, that is. But, honestly, the activities in Park City during the winter are endless, especially if traveling with family.

Hop on a sled ride, hit the slopes, or simply relax while sitting by a cozy fireplace sipping on Champagne.

Not to mention the stunning firework display that takes place on NYE in Canyons Village.

9. The Florida Keys, Florida

For a New Years’ Eve much different than you’ve probably experienced in the past, we say you head on down South and experience the Keys. From clear Bahama blue water to Miami Vices and conch fritters, we have no doubt you’ll leave feeling sunkissed and ready to take on the New Year.

Looking for a specific Key to visit? You can’t ever go wrong with making the trip down to Key West. Plan to start your evening on the “Last Sunset Cruise” and end the night after the sun goes down at one of the island’s amazing restaurants like Santiagos or Louie’s Backyard.

We know that with whichever destination you choose, be it sunny Rio or snowy Park City, you’ll end this year feeling inspired and ready to take on 2022 (with more adventures, we hope!).
