3. Giraffe Manor

Yo-ho-ho and … a barrel of wine!⠀ ⠀ If you tell your friends that you were sleeping in a barrel, they will think that you are either crazy or you have nowhere to live. But what surprise they will have when they find out that this barrel in which you spent the night was a comfortable hotel!⠀ ⠀ Yes, the real hotel from wine barrels. This hotel-restaurant is called De Vrouwe van Stavoren and is located in the northern port town of Stavoren, Netherlands.⠀ ⠀ The hotel is of course built from ordinary materials and looks quite ordinary, but the rooms themselves are real barrels in which French Beaujolais wine from the local Albada’s winery was previously stored and aged. The volume of these barrels is 14,500 liters.⠀ ⠀ The cost of these rooms is 74-119 euros per night, depending on the season, and if you arrive in winter, it will be even less – 18 euros per night, which is cheaper than most hostels in the Netherlands.⠀ ⠀ Йо-хо-хо и …

5. Utter Inn

Scandinavia sure has a lot of interesting hotels to choose from. At the Utter Inn, there’s no need to choose between above and below the water. Both are options.
